Your situation
Priorities (optional)
Select preferences that matter to you. We will boost matching visas in the ranking.
How the matching works
The matcher applies hard filters then a fit score:
Hard filters (visa excluded if you fail any):
- Income requirement: your monthly income must meet or exceed the visa's minimum
- Savings requirement: your savings must meet or exceed the proof-of-funds threshold
- Duration: visa initial duration plus renewals must accommodate your desired stay length
- Region filter: if selected, only that region is shown
Fit score (higher = better match):
- +5 points per selected priority that the visa satisfies
- +3 points if income headroom is comfortable (you exceed by 50%+)
- +2 points for affordable cost of living relative to common nomad budgets
- +2 points for fast processing time (under 4 weeks)
About this data
Visa details are sourced from official government websites and our country research, with cross-references to community data from r/digitalnomad, Citizens Remote, and Nomad Capitalist. Information is current as of June 2026 but immigration policies change frequently. Always verify final requirements with the official embassy or immigration office before applying.
Important context
Tax residency rules
Most countries treat you as a tax resident if you spend more than 183 days per year there. The "tax rate" shown in this calculator generally assumes you stay under that threshold — i.e., you continue to be tax resident in your home country and the host country has no claim on your foreign income. If you stay longer than 183 days, you typically become a local tax resident and the host country's full tax rates may apply.
Income proof
Income requirements are usually verified through bank statements (typically last 3-6 months), employer contracts, or freelance contracts. Most countries accept stable foreign income as long as you can prove it consistently.
Family eligibility
"Family OK" means spouse and minor children can typically be included on dependent visas. Specific requirements vary — some countries require additional income (typically +25-50% per dependent) and additional documentation. The calculator marks family eligibility but does not adjust for additional income requirements.
