What is affiliate marketing?

NomadShield participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click a link on our site and purchase an insurance policy, we may receive a small commission from the insurance provider — at no additional cost to you. You pay exactly the same price whether you click our link or go directly to the provider's website.

Which providers do we have affiliate relationships with?

We currently have or are pursuing affiliate relationships with the following insurance providers featured on this site:

Status of current partnerships (June 2026)

Of the providers listed above, NomadShield currently earns affiliate commission only from SafetyWing. Genki partnership is in onboarding. Insured Nomads is no longer recommended by NomadShield as of June 2026 due to observed operational distress. Heymondo has declined to partner with NomadShield; we continue to cover Heymondo editorially without commercial compensation. Other relationships are pending or in evaluation. Our editorial recommendations are made independently of these commercial arrangements.

Does this affect our recommendations?

No. Our editorial independence is the foundation of NomadShield's value to readers. We only recommend products that we genuinely believe are suitable for digital nomads and permanent travelers. Our comparison tools, reviews, and guides reflect honest assessments based on policy documents, pricing, community feedback, and claim experiences.

We include negative reviews, honest cons, and alternatives even when doing so may reduce our affiliate revenue. If a provider doesn't meet our standards, we say so — regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with them.

FTC compliance

In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, we disclose that NomadShield may receive compensation from insurance providers when readers purchase through our links. This disclosure applies to all pages on this site that contain affiliate links.
